CLOSING OF SCHOOLS: Unesco launches a global coalition for education

In the face of the evolving coronavirus pandemic, Unesco has established a global coalition to help States develop the best distance education solutions.

The Minister of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), Mr. Pierre Josué Agenor Cadet, said that he will launch a digital platform in Haiti ironically, knowing that there is no electricity and materials to give Haitian poor students the ability to take distance or online courses. Haiti is a truly special country under American influence since its independence from 1804 to the present day.

While 87% of the world's school and student population is affected by the closings of schools due to Covid-19, Unesco has decided to associate international organizations, civil society and the private sector in a global coalition to ensure the academic continuity of the children and young people most at risk, she informs through her website. According to the director general of the specialized agency of the United Nations, Audrey Azoulay, this coalition is a call for coordinated and innovative action to unlock solutions that will not only support students and teachers now, but also throughout of the turnaround process, with a focus on inclusion and equity.

"Never before have we witnessed a disruption in education on this scale. Partnership is the only way to move forward, "she said. With a focus on gender equity and equality, the global education coalition will respond to the needs of countries, as expressed in recent meetings of education ministers organized by the Unesco. Indeed, it will strive to match the needs of free and secure solutions, bringing together partners to meet the challenges of connectivity and content.

Since schools closed to contain the Coronavirus pandemic, governments have rolled out distance education solutions and tackled the complexity of virtual education, from providing content to teacher support through orientation of families and solving connectivity problems. Equity is the main concern for the UN agency, as school closings disproportionately affect vulnerable and disadvantaged students who depend on school for a range of social services, including health and food.

And yet in Haiti, Haitian leaders only make money on the number of people infected with the COVID19 pandemic, every day the government meets in prayer to ask God, to the Lord if you are truly God, give - we 3 or 5 Haitians infected to increase the number of infected people, O God hears the prayer of the President of the Republic of Haiti, the question of education does not matter for them, the children of the President of the Republic of Haiti does not live in Haiti, the children of 99% of Haitian Leaders are not in Haiti, the question of education does not concern the Haitian government.

Convinced of the need for rapid and coordinated support to States in order to mitigate the harmful effects of school closings, particularly for the most disadvantaged, multilateral partners such as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (Hcr) , the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Food Program (WFP), the International Telecommunication Union ( Uit), the World Bank (Bm), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (Ocde) and the International Organization of La Francophonie (Oif) have joined the coalition. UN Under-Secretary-General Amina Mohamed expressed the UN's total commitment to the coalition, warning that “for millions of children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, closing schools could mean the loss a vital safety net of nutrition, protection and emotional support. ” The private sector, non-profit philanthropic organizations and the media are not to be outdone. They are also invited to join the coalition.

Haiti: The United Nations Integrated Office for Haiti (BINUH) prays to God daily so that Haiti can have many people infected ah yes, former US President William Jefferson Clinton with the famous sum of 14 billion US dollars for victims of the earthquake of January 12, 2010, the American Red Cross, etc., this is the case of USAID, the IDB, the BINUH and other United Nations organizations, Haiti is a corrupt corridor of America or the leaders of Western countries manage their affairs. But the Haitian population continues to live in filth and in absolute poverty.
