In the country where the majority of the Haitian population earns less than $ 1 a day, protests against the President of the Republic accused of corruption during the Coronavirus pandemic, Jovenel Moïse, are mounting and violence will spread in the countries once the Coronavirus pandemic subsides.

For 2 months now, the Republic of Haiti has been plunged into a situation close to the uprising of small merchants in Pétion-Ville, perhaps, of the general strike: the schools are closed, the main roads between the capital and the regions will be cut very soon by dams, many shops will be closed. The popular movement, motivated by the waste of more than 20 million US dollars, famine, the false promises of President Jovenel Moise, the rise in fuel prices and accompanied by often violent demonstrations, will soon demand the resignation of President, Jovenel Moïse, elected in February 2017 with a participation of 20% of the electorate. Criminal gangs are engaged in atrocities. Monday, leaders of Christian Action for the Abolition of Torture in Haiti (ACAT-Haiti) were alarmed by the humanitarian situation: "Health structures can no longer be properly supplied, putting the lives of many children, women and men at risk with the spread of the COVID pandemic19. ”
