Around thirty bodies discovered near the national penitentiary

The armed attacks against the national penitentiary on the night of March 2 to 3 allowed thousands of prisoners to flee. But during the day, around thirty bodies were observed in the vicinity of the largest prison center in the country.
Port-au-Prince, March 3, 2024.- Haiti is on the brink of the abyss. The authorities prove their incapacity and the population is in dire straits.
The national penitentiary was attacked on the night of March 2 to 3 by heavily armed bandits. For several hours, law enforcement officers resisted attacks from armed bandits. The latter ultimately won their case.
Indeed, after so much effort, the police were unable to hold out against the armed gangs and abandoned the battle.
The bandits helped thousands of prisoners, including notorious bandits, to escape.
A few hours after this spectacular escape, nearly thirty bodies were discovered in the vicinity of the national penitentiary.
According to the observation of our colleague Ralph Teddy Erold of “Ted Actu” many of them, their outfit suggests that they are prisoners.
At the time of the spectacular escape, bursts of automatic weapons were heard in the area.
It should be noted that the Croix-des-Bouquets civil prison suffered the same fate during the same evening.
